About
PAHUS an abbreviation inspired by the ancient Polynesian drum instrument 'PAHU' used for announcing important news and celebrations. Like PAHU the instrument, PAHUS as an organization raises awareness on important and neglected health and social issues through the use of arts & films.
PAHUS is an internationally leafed interdisciplinary organisation undertaking: health - science film productions, public health engagement - evaluations and produces digital platforms for online sharing of ideas & information.
PAHUS members have collaborated with government agencies, research institutes, legal firms and arts-based organizations for interdisciplinary initiatives executing creative communication-based projects for building capacity and engaging the public on health & social issues; systematically through evaluations and creatively through events and festivals in India and Internationally.
Our internationally established interdisciplinary leaders converge within PAHUS to undertake innovative initiatives and provide a systematic and streamlined experience for our collaborators.

Dr Kartik Sharma

Founder Bio:
Dr.Sharma has majored in Filmmaking and Health humanities from University College London (UCL). As a filmmaker and researcher, his mission is committed to bridging knowledge divides through a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary approach. His present film projects focus on international and humanitarian cooperation. His previous films and evaluated research projects have raised awareness of health and social issues in society with the use of films and the arts. Kartik as a filmmaker and health humanities researcher has worked internationally :
India with Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), Tata Institute of Social Sciences(TISS).
Thailand with HITAP, Ministry of Public Health and the Mechai Viravaidhya Foundation.
United Kingdom with National Health Services (NHS) and University College London(UCL).
In addition, he serves as the Secretary, Public Health Film Society, Oxford, UK and
Member, Special Interest group for India and South Asia, Public Health England (PHE), UK.
Mr Ankit Sahani

Mr Sahani has enforced and defended intellectual property rights before various courts, tribunals and the Indian Intellectual Property Office. He has experience in all aspects of a litigation proceeding, including discovery, motion practice and trial. His transactional experience includes acquisition, disposition and commercialization of IP assets and due diligence. He currently serves on the Unfair Competition Committee and Advocacy subcommittee of the International Trademark Association. He is also a member of the European Union IP Office Observatory Expert Group on International Cooperation.
Dr Sanghamitra Pati

Dr Pati is a doctor by profession and currently working as a scientist and director of public health at Regional Council of Medical Research.She has promoted multimorbidity literacy aimed at capacity building of service providers at national and international events.Her reaserch articles on Films and Public Health have been widely published in journals such as The Lancet.

Alex is a professional artist and Art Psychotherapist who has exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad, curating many personal and community exhibitions. She is renowned for her beautiful evocative paintings, her use of tactile media, film, photography, her infamous Pink Tent Installation and is a published author. Alex’s life and work explores the meaning of the Feminine and aims to challenge and create a new dialogue in this area. In 2016 Alex co-curated and participated in an art and science exhibition in Parliament responding to the 1001 Critical Days Cross Party Manifesto and is now continuing this work under the new name Zero2 Expo.

Professor Lakhanpaul’s research promotes citizen science using structured and participatory methods to co-design interventions for the advancement of population science. Specialising in South East Asia and Thai market he has produced and directed many award winning TV shows for Thailand's Khon kon Khon (Modern Nine TV), "Ace - (Channel 7)" , Kob nok kala (Modern Nince TV) and several documentaries for TV.
He was responsible for the successful launch of the international ZEE TV channel in Thailand.
